How the Rózsi Walter Villa once was and what it has become following its rehabilitation
This home that was erected in 1936 was thoroughly photographed by the technical photographer Zoltán Seidner not long after Rózsi Walter and her family moved into the villa. Our institution’s Photographic Archives preserve Seidner’s original glass negatives, which provided great assistance in the reconstruction of the home’s original details. As can be seen in the present-day photographs, the former furnishings have not been restored, and instead the building has welcomed the opening exhibition of the HMA MPDC’s first exhibition site. The Stages and Spaces: Modern Houses in Hungary 1928–1945 show can be visited from Wednesday to Sunday between 10 am and 6 pm.
