The Rózsi Walter Villa receives its construction permit

It is February the 11th. The villa commissioned by the opera singer Rózsi Walter and her husband, the textile merchant Géza Radó, received its construction permit on this day in 1936. In January of 1936, the couple’s agent had sought out the architect József Fischer, who by that time had become known for his designs of several modernist villas. Fischer worked in close collaboration with his wife, the structural engineer Eszter Pécsi, who was responsible for the structural design of this house as well.
