Géza Lux’s perspective plan of the Székesfehérvár lapidarium will be on display at our Heritage of the Centuries exhibition that can be visited starting from the 14th of September. The precisely rendered forms of the building and the fine pastel coloring displaying the hand of the architect allows the drawing to depict the harmony that was desired when arranging archaeological parks. “…the arrangement of the entire area … can be achieved in such a way that a unified appearance is presented in terms of archaeology, history, art, and atmosphere while also taking into account the spatial requirements…” (Tibor Gerevich, 1937). We are exhibiting the plan in the Old and New – Historic Preservation and “Contemporary” Architecture section. This section of the exhibition presents the constant dialogue between old and new through numerous examples.
